The Three Principles
A lot has been written and said about the Three Principles, but I'll just say it my own words. The Three Principles are a way of understanding life in a way that opens up an experience of well-being no matter what is going on. They were first articulated by Sydney Banks in 1973.
I found the Three Principles when I was going through a particular hard time. I had been diagnosed with recurrent major depression and had tried and given up on medication.
One morning, I had a spontaneous and powerful shift from darkness and suffering to a beautiful experience of brightness. I saw, simply and clearly, how when my thoughts change, so did my experience--that my so-called "real-life" problems were not the cause of my depression. My depression was a thought about myself and my experience, a story I was innocently creating. When I saw through the story, my life as a depressed person ended. Since then, I've had many moments of depression, but these are temporary and don't mean anything other than I am having a temporary set of unhappy thoughts that are passing through. By the time I recognize an unhappy thought, it is already on the way out. If I leave it alone, it moves on and leaves no trace or damage. This is very good news!
That in a nutshell is the Three Principles, in my experience
For me, the way I learned about the power of the Principles was by watching webinars from the Three Principles Global Community. There are a wealth of them on the Three Principles Global Community YouTube channel. I also participated in monthly live (and free) webinars by the 3PGC, which were super-helpful.
Since then, I've participated in a lot of Three Principles programs, even becoming the Zoom host for many of the webinars and giving webinars myself. This is my way of giving back to the Three Principles community.
And on that note, I'm also available to talk to people who are exploring the Principles, especially, but not exclusiviely, those who are newer to the Principles. I don't charge anything for this as, this too, is one way of giving back. If you are exploring the Principles and want to talk, you can message me Here. I don't do coaching in the typical sense, this is an exploration at the level of understanding the Principles, what they are, how they work, and how they benefit you.
Below is a video sharing my story for the 50th anniversary of Sydney Banks' first teaching of the Principles.
